Crystal Ma

Crystal Ma is Marpé’s resident global citizen.  She brings to bear great breadth and depth of experience in terms of technical expertise, industry knowledge and geographical variety. 

Crystal started her career in Shanghai, China, where she got a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Shanghai Normal University.  After college, she worked for American International Group (AIG) in Shanghai.  Crystal later moved to Singapore, where she worked for an international shipping company and ascended to overseeing all treasury operations for the company. 

After getting an MBA from the University of Leicester in the U.K., Crystal moved to Silicon Valley, where she has held various corporate financial planning and analysis and SEC reporting roles at a biotechnology company that develops new pharmaceuticals; a medical device company that produces sophisticated equipment and systems for radiosurgery and stereotactic neurosurgery; and an enterprise software company – all publicly traded, SEC registrants.

Crystal has two children, one husband and seven goldfish.  She’s had those goldish ten years.  (Wow!)  When not developing sophisticated financial models, Crystal sometimes can be found skiing with her family on the slopes of Tahoe.  (Personal favorites are Boreal and Heavenly.)
